My name is Pete Finnigan and I have collected together a large array of papers and presentations about Oracle Security. I have collected together quite an impressive array of Oracle Security Tools on my tools page both free and commercial alternatives. I also maintain a list of Security alerts for Oracle software. There are also some short articles in my ramblings section and last and not least I maintain a weblog dedicated to Oracle Security news, views, articles, speculation and tools. There is also a forum where you can discuss Oracle Security tools and issues with colleagueas and peers.

Up to date and current

Most importantly I maintain this site in my spare time and try and keep it as up to date and current as possible. Perhaps public service is too strong a description but I try and maintain a vendor neutral position and unbiased. Database Security is important and Oracle is one of the main database software manufacturers so securing Oracle is important to a lot of people.

My name is Pete Finnigan I run this site and I am based in the north of England in the city of York. I specialise in the Security of Oracle databases. I have been interested in Oracle Security for many years and more recently generally in database security. I have written the book on the left for the SANS Institute. I have also recently completed writing a 6 day hands Securing Oracle track for the SANS Institute. This course will also form part of a security certification.
